Hydraulic Splitting Systems

Hydraulic Rock and Concrete Splitters allow controlled, silent and cost-effective operations! Highly productive, they are the alternative to conventional methods such as explosives and demolition hammers, without the related safety measures, costs and delays.

The splitting cylinders are especially effective in urban and sensitive areas and controlled demolition inside buildings, as there is almost no noise and vibration, as well as flying rocks. Demolition in residential complexes, offices, schools, hospitals during operation is therefore no problem.

Functional Principle

1

Drilling Phase

A hole of appropriate depth and diameter is drilled into the material to be split. Hole specifications depend on material type and splitting requirements.

2

Insertion & Alignment

The splitting insert of the splitting cylinder is inserted into the hole and aligned to determine the splitting direction precisely.

3

Hydraulic Pressure Application

With hydraulic pressure, the wedge pushes itself between the two counter wedges and presses them apart with up to 413 tons of force.

4

Material Splitting

The effective splitting force destroys the structure of concrete and rock from the inside, creating a clean split in seconds.

Main Areas of Application

Concrete Demolition

Lightweight and independent of carrier equipment, controlled demolition in hard-to-reach places.

Rock Demolition

Efficient and gentle – the rock does not pulverize. Larger split pieces with higher volumes per borehole.

Block Quarrying

Precise splitting direction control for natural stone industry, sparing adjacent material.

Tunneling

Time- and cost-efficient with parallel work continuation during splitting process.

Key Advantages

Silent Operation

Almost no noise compared to conventional demolition methods.

Vibration Free

Minimal vibration transmission to surrounding structures.

One-Man Operation

Easy to operate and transport with only one person required.

Confined Space Capable

Operation possible in closed rooms and poorly accessible places.
